During your tour, you will learn about Otway Burns, the town’s namesake. He was an American privateer during the War of 1812 and later became a North Carolina State Senator.
Walking Tours are given Sunday-Friday at 11 am in the spring & summer and 1 pm in the fall & winter.

Throughout downtown, you will find quaint boutiques featuring everything from toys to hand-made soaps.
